Chandan Kar

Chandan Kar is an Ollywood actor in the state of Odisha in India. His father, Er Ramakant Kar, is a retired government mechanical engineer. He acquired his Bachelor's degree in technology BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Orissa Engineering College in 2003.

He was working in a multinational corporate IT firm when he was first spotted by Sudhanshu Shekhar working as assistant director under film maker Sanjay Nayak of Oriya Film Industry. Chandan was offered a part in an Oriya movie which then needed a fresh face.

Chandan refused initially but finally agreed. Chandan was not having any experience in his first movie, Babu I Love You, in 2006. Then Chandan has been able to portray both positive and negative characters and has been recognized as a versatile actor in the Odia Film Industry.

Chandan Kar was born in Cuttack, Odisha. His father, Er Ramakant Kar, is a retired government mechanical engineer. Chandan completed his schooling from D.A.V. Public School, UNIT-VIII, Bhubaneswar. He acquired his Bachelor's degree in technology BTech in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Orissa Engineering College in 2003.
